Summer Farm Tour

5.00

We had to cancel our last tour + tunnel workshop due to torrential rain! We're trying again, this time on Saturday, June 30th, 5-7pm!!

Only 20 spaces available. Reserve your space now via the tickets link--cost is a refundable $5 that you receive once you make it out to the farm!

-----

Walk the farm with farmers Alex and Casey, touring the vegetable & flower fields while learning about MDF's growing methods and strategies for coping with the extremes of farming in Gulf Coast Texas.

You'll learn about creating protected growing spaces for more productive growing seasons in our harsh climate, the principles of our Certified Naturally Grown operation and get a chance to purchase food & flowers harvested that day! MDF won a generous grant from The FruitGuys Community Fund allowing us to purchase 3 caterpillar tunnels (not for growing caterpillars--they're just SHAPED like 'em) from a very cool family-owned Ag company called Farmer's Friend, LLC--and we want to share the exciting knowledge we've gained from incorporating more tunnel structures to the farm!

WHEN: SATURDAY, June 30th, 5pm-7pm

WHERE: Moon Dog Farms is located in Santa Fe. For privacy reasons, we do not post our address online. Once you reserve your spot, you will be emailed with our exact location this Friday. Thanks for respecting our needs!

HOW MUCH: This workshop is totally FREE with a $5 refundable deposit!

OTHER DETAILS: Feel free to bring whatever you need to be comfortable. We will have lots of cold water and some snacks. Other recommended items include: bug spray, sunscreen, hats, and closed-toed shoes.

Pick a cherry tomato off the vine, wonder at a full flowering field of okra and watch farm pups zoom around. We'll have snacks and cold drinks and feel free to BYO--just make sure you wear closed-toed shoes, hats & sunscreen, and you bring along the skeeter spray. :)

*No dogs, please. We've got a few of our own on the farm, and again--we wish to keep everyone as safe as possible.
